Mitsubishi today announced a few more details about its upcoming LaserTV, a technology first showcased at this year's CES. The newly christened LaserVue is the first-ever laser-powered television, offering high picture quality at one-half the power consumption of LCDs and one-third that of plasma, according to the company. The LaserVue is set for a Q3 release this year.
The company also revealed some details about its new line of DLP projectors, which offer thinner frames and brighter pictures, and are set for an April release.
In addition, Mitsubishi is set to release a new line of "ultra-thin" LCD HDTVs in May, featuring improved sound and proprietary Ultra Thin Frame technology.
Beyond these tidbits, information still remains a bit scarce.

Finaly. Laser came to save us from overpriced, underquality, ancient technology to usher a new era for display technologies.
Cant wait for Projectors, I want to turn my wall into HiDef HEAVEN.
But TBH projector should be even cheaper then television displays themselfs (less parts). But then again,... I would be happy with 60"+ LaserVue on my wall to replace my plazma and LCD.
