A Mexican government official was fired for allegedly swiping up to seven White House BlackBerrys during this week's US-Mexico summit. Rafael Quintero Curiel, who was employed as a member of Mexican President Felipe Calderon's press office, was accused of taking the PDAs from table in a hotel where Calderon was meeting with President Bush.

Quintero Curiel, meanwhile, has issued a statement maintaining his innocence, saying that he turned the BlackBerrys over--two, by his count--to a Mexican official at the New Orleans airport, after he discovered them left behind on the table. He has been relieved of his duties while Mexican officials investigate the matter.
