Around these parts, spring is just beginning to rear its head. But in the world of gadget manufacturing, summer is already in full swing. Take JBL, which has announced a slew of headphones, iPod docks, and other accessories that will "make this summer the best sounding yet."

So what makes these products summer-themed? I'm not really sure, but at the very least, they should help drown out the sound of the Mister Softee truck that has been parked outside your apartment building for the last 12 hours.

First is the latest version of the company's popular On Stage iPod dock series. Joining the existing On Stage 200iD, On Stage 400iD, and On Stage III, the On Stage Micro is the most portable and lowest priced member of the line. Priced at $99.95, the Micro is a "palm-sized" battery powered dock that ships in colors to match the iPod Nano.

Also on the summertime JBL list are the Reference 220 earbuds ($99.95), the $249.95 wireless Reference 610, and the Harman Kardon Guide + Play 810 ($399.95), an in-car GPS device "for the guy who goes from work, to the gym, and to happy hour," just in case you, um, you know, get lost on the way back home from the bar. Also handy for the Mister Softee driver who can't seem to find his way out of your apartment complex.
