Fanatec_PorscheWheel.jpg

I usually shy away from posting about PC or gaming gadgets, but here's one that may be of interest, since it's clearly aimed at the likes of us. Fanatec just launched a Porsche racing wheel for the Sony PlayStation 3 and PCs, as Engadget reports. Slapping the Porsche name on it was apparently no small feat; the company said that it took them seven years to acquire the license. And with the features this thing boasts, it looks like Fanatec did the venerable Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer proud.

The $349.99 wheel supports wireless USB technology, three separate force-feedback motors, a 6+1 speed H-pattern gear selector, wireless pedals that include a clutch as well as perfect heel-and-toe positioning, "automotive-grade" leather on the steering wheel, a 900-degree turning radius, illuminated buttons, and a key-shaped 1GB flash drive for storing your custom settings. Gran Turismo fans, get in line now.
