When it comes to going green, I try and do my best to protect the environment. I outfitted all of my lamps with CFLs. I never leave a gadget charger plugged in after it's finished charging my digital camera or phone. I always turn off the light when I leave a room, and I wash my clothes in cold water only.
It's not easy being green, as Kermit the Frog says, but taking small steps (like recycling your old cell phone or reducing computer power) will certainly pave the way to a cleaner planet. And what better time to start than on Earth Day? Check out my list of 10 Ways to Save the Planet, and let us know the steps you've already taken to going green.

I am ALL ABOUT CFL bulbs. Aside from the hybrid car, no other genuinely useful technology has faced such a rabid-yet-baseless PR campaign against it. (before anyone gives me the mercury argument - there's probably more mercury in your fillings than in a CFL. If you don't like the type of light, that's another story, but it's a you problem, not an Earth problem).
I really liked the tips though (not to digress)! I really want to take the time to get all of those devices in my home entertainment center that live on standby mode and don't actually turn off connected to a button or power strip that I can actually completely turn off when they're not in use. Talk about saving the planet, sure - but man, my electric bill is a pain too!
I'm also a huge fan of recycling cell phones. Seriously! I don't understand why we're not all writing our municipalities asking them to accept cell phones in our recycling bins! Talk about hazardous chemicals and materials - now THERE'S a target. :D
