katana-gl-1.jpg Over at the Sanyo booth at the MobileFocus press event last night, the brand-spanking-new Katana LX popped up in three colors: blue, pink, and gray. The LX isn't a high spec phone - it has slow 1X data, a low-red 128x160 screen and a VGA camera, though it also has GPS - but Sanyo's Katana line have sold like gangbusters because of Sanyo's reputation for absolutely terrific voice quality and very loud speakerphones.

The LX promises to take Sanyo voice quality and put it in something shiny and shimmery, with a 'disappearing' OLED external display that's invisible when it isn't on. The Katana LX won't rock the techie world, but I suspect it'll sell plenty of units to more fashion-forward Sprint customers. Four more pix after the jump, because the LX is all about the pix.
