PantelWeatherproof.jpg

Wouldn't be nice to sit under the stars on hot summer nights and watch a movie? While projectors can do the trick, that usually means setting up a screen and speakers. But with a flat-panel TV, you just need to move it outdoors. Perfect solution... until a sudden thunderstorm ruins the TV and possibly electrocutes you as well. All hope is not lost, however. TWICE reports that Pantel has introduced two new weatherproof LCD TVs to its lineup.

These include a 32-inch model, the PAN320 ($3,950 list) and the 42-inch PAN420 ($4,450). Both use an RF wireless package that lets you broadcast HD audio and video from up to 150 feet. For times when it isn't raining, the sets feature anti-reflective glass--so you can even watch TV outside during the day.

Dual-flow ventilation keeps the TVs cool when the weather is hot, and a built-in heating system can create additional warmth for those times when the weather outside is frightful. And though these sets are pricey, especially considering the native 720p 1,336x768 native resolution, they're woth the price if you just have to watch your TV in the fresh air.
