It's hard to complain too much about a job that lets you leave the office in the middle of the day to go play Nintendo games. I did just that earlier today, as Nintendo was previewing two of the hottest upcoming titles for the Wii.

First was Wii Fit: Scheduled for a May 19th release in the U.S., this game comes packaged with the Wii Balance Board, which is probably best described as a next-generation PowerPad mated with the plastic risers that people use in step class. The board measures your body-mass index (BMI), checks your posture, and plays an intricate role in the wide variety of exercises that come bundled with the game, which range from push-ups to yoga.

PC Mag's junior analyst, Brian Neal, took the game through its paces, trying out several yoga moves, aerobic exercises, and push-up methods. Unfortunately for him, the one we happened to catch on film was hula-hooping. By the end of the session, Neal was beat.

We also got a quick preview of the forthcoming Mario Kart title, which is due next month. The game doesn't really add much to an already good thing, though this time out there are some new characters and bikes in addition to the good old-fashioned karts. Also, the game comes bundled with a steering wheel casing for your Wiimote.

No exact pricing on either, though we're told that Wii Fit will have an MSRP below $100.
