Mio Technology just announced the Mio Moov product line, which includes four new navigation devices that are the first to use Mio's own internally developed user interface and navigation software—not to mention a way to get a 4.3-inch widescreen device for just $229.
The Mio Moov 300 and 310 each features a 4.3-inch widescreen, while the lower-priced 200 and 210 each include a 3.5-inch, square-shaped display with a bright, anti-glare screen. All four units also offer text-to-speech functionality for reading out the names of streets and exits and more than 3.5 million points of interest.
The 210 and 310 both come with a one-year paid Traffic Messaging Channel (TMC) subscription, which is powered by ClearChannel's network of affiliates and appears to be similar to the BMW system we reported on last month. Meanwhile, all four devices feature SiRFInstantFixII GPS receivers, which the company claims can deliver faster GPS signal locks, so users can begin navigating as soon as they are ready to drive.
The Mio Moov 200, 210, 300 and 310 will be available on April 1st (April Fools?) at participating retailers for a list price of $179.95, $199.95, $229.95, and $249.95, respectively.
