Lamborghini released some new photos of the Reventon, which was first revealed at the Frankfurt auto show, according to Automobile magazine. It's billed as a "radical, limited-production variant of the Lamborghini Murcilago LP640. "Lamborghinis are not exactly automotive wallflowers to begin with, but 'the Reventon is the most extreme of all,'" said Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann in the report. The dashboard is like none other I've seen, either.
Peak inside the matte grey Reventon and you'll find Blade Runner-esque bliss. Inside, the driver faces a bank of three LCD readouts in place of the standard gauge cluster, the report said. "The driver can choose among various display modes for the speedometer and tachometer; in addition, a g-force meter relays acceleration, braking, and lateral forces. The cabin itself is trimmed in copious amounts of suede and carbon fiber."
Power comes from the usual lust-worthy Lamborghini V12, in this case tuned slightly to provide 650 hp (versus 640 hp for the "regular" Murcilago LP640), again peaking at 8000 rpm. A six-speed paddleshift manual transmission, all wheel drive, and carbon fiber bodywork and wheels round out the package. Only 20 of these will be built—one could be yours for $1.3 million, if they're not already all spoken for, which I bet they are.
