Speaking of unfortunate hi-def investments, how does $400 for a mediocre animated film on a dead format sound to you? If you responded with a sneer or disapproving shake of the head, odds seem pretty good that you weren't one of the 23 eBay members engaged in a bidding war over a rare HD-DVD version of the Jerry Seinfeld vehicle, Bee Movie.
To make things even worse, the following Q&A exchange was left on the listing page:
Q: Do you really have the HD-DVD Version of this movie? I was under the impression it was canceled by the publisher.
A: Do to all the email I am getting I can not respond to all. I do have the Bee Movie. If you do not believe I do then pls do not bid. Thanks.
Hm. Sounds like there's a little room for suspicion there, coupled with the fact that the only image of the product on the page is a stock photo [shown at left], but heck, who are we to tell people how they can or can't spend 400 big ones?
