Remember those groovy bead curtains that were in style around the same time that "The Brady Bunch," Woodstock and the original "Star Trek" TV show were happening? The era must have inspired artist Devorah Sperber, because she's created some amazing works of Trekkie art. These include the "beaming down" bead-curtain series, which give the impression that Kirk or Spock is making an arrival in your doorway. Each curtain is composed of tens of thousands of beads that make the detailed images from Star Trek. Her work can be seen in various New York locations, including the PULSE NY Art Fair (Booth E13), happening from March 27 to 30.
And if Trek isn't your thing, Sperber's work also includes recreations of classical paintings, including the Mona Lisa. Bead on!
