WHISTLER%20XTR-185.jpg

Typically, I am not too big on radar detectors. As hi-tech as they are, I simply haven't driven fast enough to really need one since college. But for you, speed demons, marveling at the though of jamming those radar signals, this detector's got the right stuff and even comes with a touch of 'green'.

Whistler XTR-185 radar/laser detector offers 360 degree laser X, K, Ka, and super wideband Ka detection with one 'highway' and 3 'city' modes. It also comes with a patented VG-2 Cloaking Technology for enhanced road safety.

And as for that 'green' touch, the XTR-185 is equipped with a solar panel used to extend the charge of the built-in battery. The company calls this feature "solar enhanced", since the XTR-185 is not totally off-grid and still requires conventional changing. Still, the solar boost can be more than helpful on those long cross-country trips.

Fond of the Whistler? Amazon's got one for $83.
