We just got Lenovo's ultraportable X300 in at the PC Mag labs. Seen by many as a more sensible, business-oriented alternative to Apple's 1.6-inch thick Macbook Air, the X300 is a bit thicker than Apple's ultraportable--that's what you get for insisting on an internal optical drive.

In honor of the infamous trick performed by Steve Jobs at the last Apple keynote, we attempt to squeeze both the Air, the X300, and Toshiba's ultraportable Portege R500 into a Ziff-Davis inter-office envelope. Enjoy.

I don't know what I'll do if I can't fit my laptop into a manila envelope.

Don't you guys review your videos before posting? You can barely hear the analyst - at least give him a mike.

I don't know what you guys are talking about, my MBA came with an optical drive. Dual layer burner too. Where'd you get your diploma?

How about giving the guy a mic so we can *@#@ hear what he say!?!?
We can hear the guy doing the 'interview' but not the guy talking about the 'puter.

well i'd say as soon as i have 3000$ left over im gonna buy this notebook. yet the only down turn that im disappointed about is that it has no SD card reader, thats actually a thing that i frequently use. very sad.
anyway, since the MBA doesnt have it either and i dont care so much about the height but about how i can use it to do buisness. id say the choice is very obviously for the X300.

Thank you Lenovo
