Sony Ericsson just announced the HCB-150, a Bluetooth hands-free unit that clips to your car's sun visor, Slashphone reports. Instead of just ringing, the HCB-150 includes a text-to-speech feature so it can announce the actual name of the person who is calling. The unit will also do the same thing to help "talk" you through your phone book while you're looking for the right person to dial. There's also an OLED caller ID display, and an auto-pairing feature that drops the annoying PIN code requirement, theoretically without compromising security.
The HCB-150 is rated at 25 hours of talk time and 700 hours of standby time—impressive numbers for anyone who's thrilled if their cell phone can make it through an entire single day. It's Bluetooth 2.0 compatible, can pair with up to five cell phones, and can also be used in the office or home as a table-top speakerphone. Sony will sell the unit worldwide starting in Q2 2008, according to the report.
