If you've been waiting until the Playstation 3 offers some game worth playing before actually picking up the console, you just may be in luck. Sony is introducing a PS3 bundle that includes the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. The bundle, which will be available for $499 late Q2 (which likely means the May time frame) will include an 80GB PS3 and a DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controller.
The DUALSHOCK 3 will also make its debut in April ($54.99). The new controller incorporates both rumble and motion sensing SIXAXIS technologies and will be compatible with more than 100 current PS3 titles.
Come June, Sony will also roll out a limited-edition God of War PSP Entertainment Pack for $199.99, which will include a "Deep Red" PSP with God of War's Kratos silk-screened on the back of the unit, along with the upcoming God of War: Chains of Olympus. The bundle will also include a voucher to download Syphon Filter: Combat Ops, and, just to prove that the PSP is more than a handheld game system, the package will come with the film Superbad on UMD (a format we thought was about as dead as HD DVD).
