slingberry.jpg Closer ... closer. At the Mobile World Congress trade show, Sling Media showed off their new Sling Player for Blackberry running on a T-Mobile Blackberry 8320 and an AT&T Blackberry 8820, both over Wi-Fi. That's an advance over their introduction at CES, when it was only showing on a Pearl 8120.

Sling Player is coming to every Blackberry with 3G or higher speeds, reps said at the show - so that should mean all the recent Verizon or Sprint Blackberries, along with the 8320 and 8820. You just have to wait for RIM's upcoming 4.5 OS release, which will activate the ability to stream video when the upgrade arrives within the next few months.
