Star Wars merchandising has gone pretty far afield over the years, ranging from various Mr. Potato Head crossovers to the R2D2/USPS collaboration, but the question remains: Has it gone far enough? Gizmodo has a cross-section of some pretty stunning examples of marketing ingenuity rejected by the folks at Lucasfilm.
A Han Solo Carbonite mini-fridge? Princess Leia bun headphones? A Death Star hibachi? Damn, I'd like to grill a turkey burger on one of those things.
In the meantime, we'll all have to get our daily Lucas fix with the new Indiana Jones trailer.
