Jada, you've made my Friday. I just received my very own Guitar Hero Air Guitar Rocker kit from the California-based toy company, and have been running up and down the halls, tormenting my coworkers with it, ever since.

We caught our first glimpse of the device at this year's CES, and were immediately taken with the goofy little toy. The kit comes in two pieces. There's a receiver/belt buckle and a miniature amp, both of which clip to your belt, allowing you to play the riffs from such rock masterpieces as Black Sabbath's "Iron Man," Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water," Motorhead's "Ace of Spades," Van Halen's cover of "You Really Got Me" (what, no "Eruption?"), and of course, that classic among classics, Boston's "More Than a Feeling," simply by strumming one of the two including guitar picks in front of the belt buckle.

Simply brilliant.

[More pics after the jump.]

Speaking of brilliant, the thing is set up to trigger feedback both when you initially pull it out of the box and the first time you turn it on.

The two included picks are magnetic and can be stored in a notch on the side of the mini-amp, which is how they come in the box. The amp itself has three knobs, one for volume (this little thing gets loud), another to alternate between tracks, and third to trigger a demo. Of course, like any solid rock and roll amp, this thing goes up to 11. It features input and output jacks and ships with three AA batteries. The songs are stored on a red cartridge that slides in and out of the amps head, which I'm guessing is a sign of more riffage to come.

The belt buckle has a big shiny skull and two flaming flying v guitars. Nice touch. The buckle connects to the amp via an included 1/8" cable.

Like any instrument, the Air Guitar Rocker takes a bit of practice to master. My shredding was a little sloppy, at first, unlike our friend in our video. But, as you can imagine, one gets the hang of it pretty quickly.

All in all, Air Guitar Rocker gets two big metal signs up. Now, if you don't mind, I've got some ladies to impress.
