One of the many amenities I miss about my old Northern Californian home is the comfort and luxury of Bay Area Rapid Transit. Sure, the New York subway is cheaper and far more convenient, but man--those BART trains are comfy. And now Engadget has word that BART is adding Wi-Fi to its trains.
Apparently WiFi has been installed on a select portion of BART tracks, delivering 15-Mbps up-and-down data transfer, and there are plans to expand wireless service.
In New York we're just happy to finally have train lights that don't turn themselves off on a regular basis.
