Pumped about Super Bowl Sunday? I've already reserved my spot on the couch for lots of wing eating and wine tasting. (Merlot and Tom Brady are a good pairing, right?) Of course, I won't be watching the game on a 52-inch HDTV or anything, like some of my colleagues here will be doing. But if you're in the market for a high-def set, there are plenty of hot sales going on at electronics retailers this week. For instance, Best Buy is selling a Sharp AQUOS 32-inch Flat-Panel LCD HDTV for $899 and there's a $1,699 Panasonic 50-inch Plasma HDTV with a $200 instant coupon at Costco. Plus, Best Buy and Circuit City are throwing in some freebies with your HDTV purchase, like an autographed football or Blu-ray movie three-pack. Just so you don't have to hunt down the best prices, check out my story on The Best HDTV Steals and Deals on PCMag.com. Good luck and happy shopping!

I was in best buy this past weekend (buying an external hard drive) and like always I found myself browsing through the television section! Prices on those big screens have gone down a lot!!! They all looked good, but the DLP televisions were the biggest "bang for your buck." One was 72 inches and crystal clear. I may consider watching the game there :-)
