Even in a hall as filled to the brim with the weird and wonderful gadgets as the CES International Hall, Zhongshan Glee Electricals Manufacturing's booth manages to stick out, and not just because of the enormous name on its sign. The Chinese company, which also goes by the less exasperating (if more pharmaceutical) name Gleecon, positions itself as the "specialist in killing insects."

The entire booth is jam-packed with variations on the mosquito buzzer. Some are stylishly designed to fit your interior decor; others look just like lightposts, and some look like they belong on the Starship Enterprise.

One stood apart from the rest. This tennis racquet-shaped electric mosquito swatter puts some of the fun back into obliterating bloodsucking insects. The swatter is battery-powered, so you can take it with you on those deep-forest camping trips.

But I wouldn't recommend it for those you don't trust around animals or small children.
