Not sure how good it is working in the US but in Canada it is very hit and miss. Took forever to make even 1 call and then nothing. The distributor up here is very deceptive as well. I paid through Paypal and it took over 2 months of back and forth with him to get a refund including threats to report him to the BBB. He finally sent me a personal cheque instead of paying me back through Paypal as I requested for the original price but did not refund the sales tax. All in all a very bad experience with an extremely rude and hard to contact individual. Buyer beware!

1. If I will order the magicjack, will I keep my phone number and my 2 ringers???
2. I have broadband but that is from my phone line, what I have to do to get connected to the Internet???

I have it and can't get the darned thing to work consistently. No support either. I guess I can't expect much from something that costs $20. Mine is headed to the trash can. I think I will move to a regular line. I am going to signup with one of the others like Vonage, Linjo or TeleBlend.

Do I need to have my laptop on all the time? How does this compare to Vonage, viatk, SunRocket, TeleBlend etc?
Is it just a softclient?
