We're all still reeling from our Macworld 2008 keynote coverage on our end, but for better or worse, there's no rest for our weary laptop analyst, Cisco Cheng.

Cisco's onsite at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, and he's already gotten some face-to-face time with Apple's uber-lustworthy three-pound ultraportable, the Macbook Air. Check out some exclusive pics of the new notebook, including some side-to-side comparisons with the Powerbook G4 and MacBook Pro.

Time to put up those keyboard droolguards.

Someone happened to have their Powerbook G4 on-hand. Here's how the two notebooks stack up, side to side.

Yes it is thin. Maybe that new touch pad offers more than I think,

I would have preferred to see a new Mac Book Pro with 17 inch LED backlit screen and EVDO option.

That's a 12" PowerBook G4 not an iBook G4 in the comparison pics, Correct??

Guys, I think it's too big. Yeah you heard me. The 13.3 inch is bigger than necessary, and hey what's up with the wide edges around the screen (and the keyboard for that matter). Absolutely unnecessary when it's only there to have the "wedge" shape, right?

Another example of the Apple trying to be too sexy than functional and rational.

What is wrong to have only the "Thickest" measurement, what the heck "Thinnest" point mean, it means nothing!

I don't see where it is only .16" thick, unless that is the edge of it when it is open - my other concern would be the keyboard feel..

Hi all

I dont see any High tech in being thinnest.
What MAC is doing is just design.
So please MAC if you want design we can go to ARMANI.
WE need Power, Performance and Funcionality.

Best regards
