If you spend a good chunk of the day visiting gadget blogs, there's a pretty good chance that space travel is on the old bucket list. But if you're longing to look down upon our spinning blue orb and laugh, your time for saving up that $200K is running short. Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic unveiled today a group of spaceships that may make commercial space travel a reality by next year.

Gizmodo has several pictures of the ships, most of which are near completion. Virgin Galactic will begin testing later next year, with the first commercial flights launching from the company's New Mexican Spaceport some time in 2009.

I'm already saving up for the trip. :D

This is quite an opportunity. Imagine being in space? Looking down on earth as a blue ball, looking at the stars. Weightlessness.

I can't wait for the trip!
