LG issued a release, this weekend, stating that the reported death by cellphone of a 33-year-old construction worker in South Korea, "had no connection to the company's handset or battery."
According to the statement, the first witness to the events, a coworker of the victim, has since been charged with manslaughter, after confessing that he, "unintentionally hit the victim with a 15-ton hydraulic drill rig while driving in reverse," and retracting his initial statement, which placed the blame squarely in the front pocket of the victim.
The police have issued an arrest warrant for the dead man's coworker.
