This week's Gearlog Radio starts off with PC Magazine executive editor Jeremy Kaplan and his PC upgrades story. But this isn't your typical how-to, with recommendations for a bigger hard drive or better graphics. Oh, no. Jeremy wanted to take a different approach and offer readers "unusual" PC upgrades to supercharge your systems.
Next, the Gearlog gang give their 2008 tech predictions. One of those predictions, made by senior editor of blogs, Carol Mangis, is that e-book readers will be a huge success next year. Hmmmm....
On the second half of the show we have online producer and avid gamer Whitney Reynolds as a guest. She had tested a slew of video games for PC Mag's Gaming Guide, and reveals which ones are her favorites and which you'll want to stay clear of.
Blogs associate editor Brian Heater is off this week, so PC Mag news reporter Chloe Albanesius takes his place (possibly for good? Nah, just kidding, Brian!) in the Hot Five in Five segment. Stay tuned for this week's weird gear, strictly for wine connoisseurs.
