Considering buying a new TiVo HD this season? If TiVoToGo, Rhapsody, and Multi-Room support improvements aren't enough, TiVo has temporarily reinstated lifetime subscriptions or $399 for the holiday season. You can buy an new TiVo series 2, series 3 or TiVo HD and activate it with a lifetime subscription until February 2, 2008.

More discounts after the jump.

Other discounts include a drop from $16.95 a month to $12.95/month for a one year monthly contract. Yearly pre-paid contracts are down as well: $129 for one year and $249 for two years. The price for the three year contract remains at $299.

Multi-room contracts are simplified: $9.95/month or $99 per year, for "any additional TiVos, up to 5 DVRs."
