Hey guys. Listen, I'm really glad that you're passionate about things in life. Really, that's great. It's important to have something to believe in, and truly, the war between the HD DVD and Blu-ray formats will go down in history alongside the Union versus the Confederacy, Athens versus Sparta, and Valley versus Bayside as one of the great rivalries of all time, but, as those battles proved, little if anything has every been accomplished through a message board flame war.
Still, some overzealous fans over at AVS Forum are attempting to take justice into their own hands, by engaging in "physical threats that have involved police and possible legal action." We're not ones to tell others how to live their lives, but let's just say that when you get to jail, and other inmates ask you why you're doing time, you should come up with something better than killing a Blu-Ray fanboy's cat.

The School of Medicine is pleased by the U.S. Supreme Court's decision released today. The Court let stand a unanimous 2007 ruling by the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that stated prostate tissue and serum samples donated to Washington University can continue to be used by the institution for cancer research. The appellate court had affirmed the lower federal district court ruling that donors who gave tissue or serum samples to the University for research can't later compel the school to transfer ownership of the samples to another research institution.
