Art Guitars takes Guitar Hero fanboys to the next level by outfitting a real Peavey guitar with a Guitar Hero controller interface. The company leaves the guitar's original pickup, bridge and headstock intact but guts the body and parts of the fretboard to house the buttons, pick, and whammy-bar controller. Here's the icing on the cake: Art Guitar offers this guitar with 17 different pieces of body artwork, featuring KISS, Lynrd Skynyrd, Megadeth, Ozzy Osbourne, or Pantera.
Unfortunately, these guitars are made only for the PS2; however, the press contact told me that "next-gen guitars should be coming shortly." Hey, Art Guitar: While you're working on those next-gen guitars, how about giving us the ultimate Guitar Hero axe--an Eddie Van Halen "Frankenstrat"? Then you'll really have "The Best...Of...Both...Worlds"!

u gamers are a bunch of time wasting tits and u deserve to be shot for doing disgusting things by ruining the pure beauty of music with ur pissin consoles u ruin perfectly good very expensive guitars which REAL guitarists would give there one of theyre legs i cant say arms coz that would cause trouble whilst playing but anyway some ppl cant afford guitars like this who are determined enough to make it into a career do any of u anuses think that playing this guitar hero game will help you do anything to be honest i hate you much love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Wow, why on earth would you really want to go doing this for??
I have been a guitarist for 14 years, and when I first became aware of this stupid guitar hero game, I didn't think it would catch on, now there is 3 of them!!
And also You Tube is full of many videos of people playing this game, and other folk commenting at "how amazing these kids are"!!
Its a bloody game, and if they spent half of the time trying to learn how to play a real guitar instead of pretending to play it on a stupid computer game, they would be able to play the songs they pretend to play in no time!!!
And to go to the extent of turning a real guitar into the controller for this game is ridiculous, why would you want to waste a perfectly good REAL guitar to turn it into a controller for guitar Queero?
It really is a sad little world that we live in!!
You know some kid actually tried to tell me that playing guitar hero actually helps you become a better guitarist, because it helps build strength, and that you are also playing the same patterns on guitar hero as you would play on a real guitar!!
How this guy managed to come to a conclusion like this is obscene, I mean how on earth can you compare pressing 5 buttons in time with a track to actually playing the track for real on a 6 stringed instrument??
Warped or what... seriously, to anyone who cares to bother reading this, do yourselves a favor, instead of wasting the real guitar to convert into a controller so you can play guitar hero and feel like you are even more closer to being a REAL guitar player, just leave the guitar in tact and then spend the time that you do playing this retarded game, and learn how to play the guitar for real, it is really rewarding learning stuff on the guitar, and the more that you play the instrument, the better you become, and after several years, if you have practiced and learnt enough stuff, you should be equipped with enough knowledge about the instrument to be able to play anything that you desire...
I personally can't see how anyone will get anything rewarding back out of playing this stupid game???
I confess that I am a huge PC gamer, but I play REAL games like CounterStrike 1.6, Counterstrike:source, Half Life 2, Team Fortress 2, Crysis, Timeshift, Call of Duty 4, Call of Juarez, etc etc, proper games!!!
I really wish that Guitar Hero was never invented, because it has brought about a generation of kids who think they are something special because they can press a bunch of buttons in time with a music track... when there is absolutely nothing special about it!
Worse still, Slash, a guitarist who I used to really respect, went and sold out by taking part in this dumb game by allowing them to use his character for the 3rd guitar hero game, and also appearing in a televised advert for the release of this game to,,, I don't have the same respect for Slash like I used to now after that!!!
He is a great player, but I think he has been selling out recently, what with being an advert for guitar queero 3, and also playing on the VW advert to...
Anyway, kids, take up REAL guitar playing instead of playing this poor excuse for a game!!!
And really, don't go butchering a real guitar to turn it into a guitar hero controller!!!
Personally, looking at that picture, it really looks like it has been photoshopped in my opinion, I could be wrong, but I would imagine that it would be quite a difficult task for someone to turn a real guitar into a controller for guitar hero, you would need both skills in electronics, and have guitar luthier skills in order to be able to make something like this...
I think this is more than likely just a hoax!!!
