Oh White Stripes, is there anything you won't co-brand? It would be easy to get irritated by the Detroit Band's recent stint of band approved tech products, were gadgets like the Icky Thump USB memory sticks and these Lomography cameras not so damned cool. For anyone with even a passing interest in the neo-garage blues duo, it's hard not to get at least a little excited about these red and white peppermint film cameras.
The cameras come in Jack and Meg designs. The Jack "Holga" features addition lenses, a three filter set, and "a custom Peppermint lens filter." Meg's "Diana+" has a "Nobody Knows How To Talk To Children" ringflash and a "a custom Peppermint Film Mask filter."
Both units are $180 and limited to 3,000 production units, each.

I'm pretty sure this is the first thing they've cobranded, pretty smart cross marketing if you ask me. Both entities represent very lofi/analog way of doing things, so this sort of match up makes a lot of sense.
Those USB sticks were a little silly but i understand why they did it. It is the most tangible way of owning having digital music files. It is the middle ground between physically owning music and owning it only in a digital format. Really great collector's items.
I'll probably be buying this meg white lomography camera. Better to buy it now, than realize i missed the boat several years later.
