On my digital photo frame radar is the newly announced 8-inch SyncPix Digital Picture Frame from Smartparts. It features software that synchronizes, optimizes and resizes pictures as they are copied onto the frame's memory. Basically, you just insert a memory card, and the frame will automatically copy and optimize your photos.
It also boasts the ability to organize images into themed albums, which is a new feature that I'm very excited about. The SyncPix comes with a remote control, can play MP3s and videos, and is said to store about 3,000 photos to its onboard memory.
The 8-inch SyncPix digital picture frame is $179.99 (a very generous price IMHO) and will be available in an Espresso-colored frame with beige matting later this month at Circuit City, Staples and Ritz Camera stores.
