Every time a new technology is introduced, I inevitably find myself asking the same question: sure it's cool, but can it player hate? Until now, the answer for SMS has decidedly been a "no." Thankfully, Playerblock has finally bridged the gap between sending text messages and hatin'.
For the low price of $4.99 a month, a single text message can save you from date disaster. Text your potential date's number to the service, and Playerblock will cross check it with user contributed data, so you'll know exactly what you're getting yourself into.
Of course the key here is "user generated," meaning that the service is completely susceptible to unprovoked hatin'. But heck, we can't expect one service to revolutionize the hatin' industry overnight.
Playerblock is currently available on AT&T, Sprint, Nextel, Verizon Wireless, Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile. T-Mobile support is coming soon.

Whoa, this totally reminds me of the "Two I.D.s" segment from the movie Amazon Women on the Moon. (Google it).
Rosanna Arquette asked Steve Guttenberg for two IDs so she could run a Fax "date check" on him. It revealed he was a habitual liar and poser based on reports from other dates.
