The Associated Press discovered today that Comcast blocks or limits some peer-to-peer file-sharing traffic. Chloe Albanesius reported this story in April, and I guess if there's any news here, it's that little has changed.

The AP's story concerns the use of BitTorrent, the popular tool for downloading large files, whether they be legitimate Linux distributions, or HDTV-encoded movies. Comcast is apparently still "shaping" (taking away bandwidth from) BitTorrent, or sometimes blocking it entirely. Instead of trying to force Comcast to change its ways, I think many would like to see more than just a single DSL and/or cable provider serving a single area.

By the way, if you want true Net Neutrality, then you might try checking out these ISPs.
