If this neat little gadget looks like a modern day scale, it's because it is. Only it doesn't come from Sharper Image, nor does it measure your weight.
Instead, Wattson keeps track of the amount of energy all your home appliances and electronics are consuming in real time. And its wireless! According to UK's Telegraph, all you have to do is "clip its transceiver to the cable between your electricity meter and your fuse box". In addition to real-time energy monitoring, Wattson can display electricity cost estimates and put out LED warnings about excessive energy use.
According to the report, "there is even an online community of Wattson users: hook your device up to your computer's USB port to download a record of your energy use, calculate how you could save money on your energy bill, and see how your energy consumption compares to other Wattson owners."
Though I was unable to find the manufacturer, Love Eco says that Wattson can be purchased for £62.50. That's about $125. Not bad.

The wattson is designed and made by DIY Kyoto. You'll see that the £62.50 is a deposit, and that each one costs £125 whilst our stock comes in. The regular price is £149.50.
That's slightly higher, but it's dead cool you won't want to throw it out and pays for itself within 2 years as well as helping save the planet.
