freeiphoneunlock.jpg If you've been waiting patiently to unlock your iPhone, and didn't jump at the hardware hack, or fork over your credit card for iphoneSimFree's pay-to-play solution, then freeiphoneunlock.com has just what you've been waiting for. Though you should probably wait a few more days.

In the past 24 hours, the software has gone from a fairly complicated multi-step text-based process, to a decidedly more user-friendly GUI-based one-click beta. But according to Engadget, "you still have to actually get the app onto the phone and go through the faux-activation process with your SIM afterward." Oh, and YouTube may not work post-hack, though there's apparently a way to fix that.

But as fast as the software is evolving, it'll likely be about a week or so before the whole process is as simple and stable as could be. Patience, Grasshopper, patience. Soon the pebble will be yours, but even the most learned of masters cannot unbrick an iPhone.
