One Million iPhones!Despite its less than perfect phone capabilities, Apple today announced that it sold its one millionth iPhone yesterday since its release on June 29. "One million iPhones in 74 days-it took almost two years to achieve this milestone with iPod," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. "We can't wait to get this revolutionary product into the hands of even more customers this holiday season."

And now that the iPhone is even more affordable--now just $399 instead of $599 for the 8GB model--looks like Apple will see even more sales before the end of the year.

What's all the fuss about AT&T's cell service? I use AT&T in the DC Metro area and it's as good as the Verizon Wireless cell network, maybe better. I was a VZW user for many years, switched to AT&T for iPhone and find the AT&T network between here and NJ, out to Western PA and down to central VA to be 100% reliable. Equal to or better than VZW and most certainly better than Sprint coverage in the same travel radius.

I was referring to the iPhone's audio quality, in which our audio analyst tested and found that it was really bad. Plus, you have to click through 4 or 5 screens in order to make a call. But, it's Apple's first try at a phone, so it can only get better from here.

Heres is some wise information on the iPhone and any other new product coming out on the market. First there are new with lots of premarket hipe. Everyone has got to have it. Companies know this and conut on people being people. They will buy it even if it dosen't work. Second, once on the market, just like the stars tody, the attatude is "We are the big company and we do not face the same reprecutions as the small company". It dosen't matter if we do not deliver people will buy it and make it successfull anyway. Even with bad puplisity, it is still getting the name out there, just like the stars. We have as a nation developed this attatude, "I gotta have it, I want it, They are the bomb." The bomb is right! Me, when the company, the star, what ever; makes it right and for a decent price I will consider it. If the whole country did this. It would be right to start with. Thats my word.

These must be sad days at PC Magazine.

All the best products, all the most interesting news... all Apple, all the time.
It must be all too much.

Even in reporting the astonishing sale of one million iPhones in little more than 60 days the envy and resentment surfaces in negative spin.

The iPhone is a revolutionary device and the best phone I have ever owned. PERIOD.

Get over it.

Oh, the shame and embarrasment PC Mag writers must feel. So many PC journalists and critics writing of their new found religion... Apple. And, their new found god... Steve Jobs.

For those left behind... Admit to your wet dreams of a gourgeous new iMac. Admit to your wish that someday, just maybe, you'll find nirvana and get a job at MacWorld.

Someone's obviously not a PCMag reader or they'd understand that Apple products and services have always gotten high marks at PCMag....and that they've been lauded and reviewed for years and years...

Ah well. Trolls will be trolls.

Anyway, congrats to Apple for their millionth iPhone. It's a gen-one product, which means they still have a number of bugs to work out (and this is coming from a self-proclaimed Apple fanboy!) but I'm sure they'll continue improving, they always have.

I on the other hand, can't wait to get my hands on an iPod Touch. Those things look yummy. :)
