Although the Honda Accord remains a popular brand in the United States, we haven't seen a wagon since 1997. That's roughly about when wagons started to lose their popularity and grip on the domestic car market.

In Europe, on the other hand, hatchbacks and wagons are going strong. With the Tourer, Honda plans to add to their multitude, powering this Accord with a new 2.2-liter i-DTEC diesel. Two and two point four-liter i-VTEC gasoline engines will also be offered. Featuring a Civic-like front end, the European Accord is certainly more stylish than the upcoming American version.

The car was showcased at the Frankfurt and according to Honda is "set to debut in mid-2008." As reported by Autoblog, Honda also boasted that "compared to the current Accord engine line-up" with new, all-Euro 5-compliant engines "power output will be boosted and emissions and fuel economy significantly improved."
