So I thought to myself the other day, I haven't see any top 10 lists of tech eyewear. You know, those bulky glasses you can wear in order to watch videos or play games. That's when I made an effort to put a list together. Hence, my 10 Geeky, High-Tech Eyewear story is over at PCMag.com.
Remember the Oakley Thump and Thump 2, the company's attempt at designing sunglasses with a built-in MP3 player? Yeah, they didn't really excite consumers when they were released. Well, Oakley came out with yet another pair, dubbed the Oakley Thump Pro ($249-$349). It comes in various colors, a more lightweight design, and is targeted to coaches, trainers, and athletes. Trimersion ($395) is a head-mounted, first-person shooter visor that I had the chance to try out last year at an event (see photo above). It was hard to manuever at first, given that you have to hold a gun controller and move your head from side to side to shoot your enemies. I could totally see this device being addictive though! Check out the other eight eyewear over at PCMag.com.

hi, i just got mine. came all the way over from America. I put the battery's in and the screens lit up, but then i smelt a burning smell and took the HMD off to see smoke coming out of the GUN! :(
I was really looking forward to giving this thing a try, but now i'm just unhappy. its DOA, and living in the UK i doubt i'll see my money back, or a replacement sent to me. I bought it advertised as 'NEW'.. from a seller called 'SAFESELLER' .
Can anyone who might read this please off me some advice on getting a replacement free of charge? or being re funded the money i spent? :( i also had to pay import charges. :(
