Had to squeeze in one final MP3 player announcement before day's end, or I almost certainly wouldn't have been able to get any sleep tonight. Just in case the forthcoming Samsung, Creative, and Sandisk players weren't quite doing the trick--and you happen to find yourself with a few extra yen burning a hole your DAP-less pocket, you might want to check out Toshiba Japan's newly launched Gigabeat T401.

The latest Gigabeater sports a 2.4-inch, 320 x 240 pixel display, 4GB of flash memory, and the squirtastic bonus of 802.11b/g WiFi. A single charge of this 9.9-mm thick player will get you either 16 hours of audio playback or 5 hours of video.

The T401 is set to hit Japanese streets on Oct 5th, for ¥29,800 ($258). A Wi-Fi-free version will hit on September 7th, for ¥24,800 ($213).
