When discussing racing-inspired motorcycles with unique engine features, classic designs, advanced engineering, and unmatched sophistication, there's a good chance that the first name to pop up will be Ducati. It's not surprising, then, that product designers from all over the world are drawing inspiration from the pioneering company.

SanDisk collaborated with the motorcycle maker recently, to create the Extreme Ducati Edition 4GB USB flash drive, which will likely appeal to two-wheel fans across the globe. Hailed as SanDisk's fastest consumer drive in the market today, the drive boasts write speeds of up to 20 MB/second.

The Extreme Ducati Edition sports a glossy red color with black trim (the same colors found on the Ducati Corse team motorcycles on the MotoGP circuit), and a super-cool "taillight" on the rear of the device, which glows red, when its plugged into your PC's USB port.

Priced at $124.99, the Extreme Ducati Edition flash drive will launch in September, packed with a custom lanyard and SanDisk's RescuePRO Deluxe software.

Wow that looks good. Though I wish the term "extreme" was retired about 5 years ago. Hope they make an 8GB version of this, then when it comes down in price a bit, I'd be sure to pick one up. Biggest innovation here: The activity light isn't blue! That's worth a few extra bucks all on its own.
