Samsung announced the release of two new MP3 players, late last night. They haven't exactly been the best guarded secret in the industry, with a few slip-ups having occurred over the past couple of months, but now they're totally officially official.
First up is the YP-P2, with its 3-inch wide touch screen, which will surely garner comparisons to the LG Prada phone, and that other one that other one...sorry, I'm totally blanking on the name here...The 0.4-inch thick P2 comes in 4- and 8GB flash models, features a 16:9 display ratio, and has built-in Bluetooth 2.0 compatibility. When paired with Samsung's YA-BH270 Bluetooth headset, up to three people can listen to music from the device.
The T10 is Samsung's new "super slim feather-weight player," measuring 0.3 inches thick and 1.5 ounces. The player features 4GB flash memory, a two-inch screen, FM radio, voice recorder, text reader, and WMV9, MPEG4 video playback. Like the P2, the T10 has built-in Bluetooth 2.0 support, in this case allowing two headsets to connect.
The P2 is available in black, white, and burgundy, the T10 in black, white, and purple. Both devices will be available next month. No word yet on pricing.
