The Sony battery recall fiasco is still not over. About 1,400 notebooks manufactured by Toshiba and using Sony cells are being recalled, because of the risk of fire when using the battery. The models affected are the Tecra A7 (model numbers beginning with PTA70U or PTA71U), the Satellite A100 (model numbers beginning with PSAA0U) and the Satellite A105 (model numbers beginning with PSAA2U, PSAA8U, or PSAA9U) all manufactured between Jaunary 1. 2006 and April 31, 2006, respectively.

If you think you might be affected, Toshiba and the Consumer Products Safety Commission are recommending you call Toshiba at (800) 457-7777 anytime or visit the firm's Web site at www.bxinfo.toshiba.com. You'll receive a free replacement battery, and Toshiba will pay the shipping costs.
