JOBO, a family-owned digital imaging business for three generations, announced its first stab at the digital photo frame market. Its two new photo frame models, the PDJ701 and PDJ700, feature a 7-inch color LCD screen, 800 by 480-pixel resolution, and support JPEGs and BMPs from all popular memory cards including CF, SD, MMC, MS and xD. They also offer cool picture effects like "black and white," a calendar/alarm clock, and automatic on/off timer.
What's unique about the JOBO PDJ701 is that it stores 1GB of photos--that's the most I've seen for a digital photo frame. Plus, it can be powered two ways: by an integrated rechargeable Li-Ion battery or via the AC power adapter. It weighs 18.3 ounces.
The JOBO PDJ700 offers 128MB of internal memory and weighs just 14.7 ounces. The JOBO Photo Displays come with a USB cable and are sold at very reasonable prices: The PDJ701 is $179 while the PDJ700 is $159. Due to a shipping delay, each one will be available in mid-September.

That's definitely a good price for that resolution frame (800x480 pixels) although the aspect ratio (15:9) is non-standard. There are also some 720x480 frames around too which are 3:2 ratio.
