Lapworks Futura Laptop Stand

The Laptop Desk Futura from Lapworks looks like it was ripped off the grill of a Jeep Cherokee. Unfolded, you can place the Futura right on your lap providing a stable platform for your laptop while protecting your legs from the heat and providing ventilation for the laptop. Fold it up, and you can set it on an incline--5 settings in all--depending on your ergonomic needs.

I had recently reviewed the Lapworks Aluminum Desktop Stand--which was able to spin around like a lazy susan--a feature I absolutely love. (I still use this stand at home.) The Future does not spin around.

What I liked about it was the Futura was its portability and durability. It's super slim and can slip right into your laptop case or backpack. Unlike the Aluminum Stand, it won't get easily scratched up. And it can probably handle a drop or two. There are also excellent non-slip rubber pads on the Futura--my laptop never moved an inch. I also like how you can use it as a platform right on your lap, so that your laptop can really be a laptop! My final take: it's a cool laptop stand if you want something sturdy and stationary. And it's rather cool looking too.[[More images after the jump.]]

Get your own for $29.95 from Lapworks.

Well, this is what I think.
Its more cludder and more things to carry.
Way to bulky and to big for extra luggage.

Laptop makers should for one make a laptop with this attachment already embedded on to the unit.
Also, laptop makers should make laptops that DO NOT put off so much heat.

We can put a man on the moon, we can have humans live in space stations in space.
But yet we can not make our laptops heat free and longer battery life.

This attachment is just such a waste of material and time. All it does is add's to cludder and add's to our very most hated thing, which is to carry so much crap that we actually really don't need.
