Did you hear the one about Apple cutting the production numbers on iPods and iPhones? Apparently a lot of investors did. In a bit of a repeat of the old Engadget Apple stock tumbler, a new crop of rumors led to a 7-percent drop in the price of the company's shares. Seems like a lot folks on Wall Street are gadget blog readers with itchy selling fingers.
It's a good thing I didn't post that thing I heard about Steve Jobs planning to incorporate a new baby maiming feature on the second generation iPhone. Phew.
