Toshiba%20305.jpg

The folks at Toshiba are giving their new laptops some added media muscle with built-in HD DVD drives and Harmon Kardon speakers. Models range from the entry-level, 13.3-inch U305 line (starting at $899) to the media-centric P205 series (starting at $999), which packs a 17-inch, 1,440 x 900-pixel display and Dolby Sound Room technology. The top of the line model ($1,449) adds an HD DVD drive to your desktop replacement.

Qosmio fans are also getting some love with the new 15.4-inch F-45, which comes with Intel's Tubro Memory to speed up the laptop's boot time. Other features include a fingerprint-reader, DVD SuperMulti drive, and built-in webcam. The F-45 starts at $1,299. All of the models are based on Intel's Core 2 Duo CPU and ship with a minimum of 1GB of RAM. They're available for order as of today.
