You're on vacation, lying on the beach soaking in the rays, when you wish that you had a nice cold beverage or some crispy french fries. Rather than getting up to give in to your cravings after you're already so comfortable, just page the Beach Butler.
Introduced by Long Range Systems (LRS), the Beach Butler is a push-for-service paging system. "Beach Butler is the only product of its kind in the world," explains
Jim Livingston, vice president of sales at LRS. "Perfect for any hotel and
resort with beach or poolside service, it helps sell more food and drinks
by giving guests the convenience of on-demand service." The Beach Butler is both a weatherproof and tamper-resistant device that's made of plastic. It measures 14.5-by-3.0-by-1.7-inches and attaches to any beach umbrella or lounge chair. When you're ready to order, just press the button on the unit and a silent page is sent to a server who is wearing an LRS alphanumberic pager. "A message on the alphanumeric pager lets the server know exactly where the guest is sitting so they can serve them right away." The pager has a range of one-quarter mile, and is available at pager.net for hotels, resorts, and other businesses.
