New Yorkers get ready, Big Brother is coming into town. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg wants to install up to 3,000 surveillance cameras in Manhattan's downtown district, which includes the Wall Street and World Trade Center areas. The cameras will be used to secure the neighborhoods and to read the license plates of cars so that passing drivers can be charged $6 to drive in that area. I'm all for less traffic on the streets, but charging people to drive? Makes me wish I still had my bike.
