Mario Strikers Charged for the WiiBattle for possession of the soccer ball in Mario Strikers Charged for the Wii, the sequel to the popular Super Mario Strikers for the Nintendo GameCube. Launched today, the new game features "nine sensational new stadiums, plus a host of new characters with their own special abilities and power moves. Players create their own teams by mixing and matching captains and sidekicks, then use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to face opponents in single-player or multiplayer modes."

This isn't your typical soccer game, either. Mario will run into earthquakes, firestorms, and electric shockwaves on the field. Some of the moves that can be performed with the Wii controller are flicking the Wii remote to tackle the ball or block shots from the goal.

For 1 to 4 players and rated E: for Everyone, purchase Mario Strikers Charged for the Wii at many retailers including Sears ($49.99), Walmart ($49.82), and Buy.com ($46.99).
